Say you have got 6 or 7 election leaflets. If you resource to workload the time to prep them is not allocated to you during our working hours.
Let's say he also has a duty where his call rate is 60% but obviously when delivering the election material he will be going to every door.
He estimates it will take him an hour to prep the election material and he will overrun his delivery time by 1 hour as well.
He doesn't want to extend his finish time to 2 hours past his contracted time because he has got child care commitments so he loads the hour prep on to the front of his duty.
What is the problem?

He was instructing his members to do the same, because they were being extra to deliver the D2Ds he said they could NOT claim overtime. Thats what the problem was.

If he wants to demonstrate bad practice by working early for nothing, ultimately thats his choice, but instructing members to do the same
