Attached for the information of Branches is an agreed joint statement that has been reached with the business in regard to the deployment of the Network Programme of Works Revision.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN ROYAL MAIL LOGISTICS AND THE CWU REGARDING DEPLOYMENT OF THE NATIONAL NETWORK REVIEW


This agreement confirms that the deployment date for the National Network Review will be the 28th April 2014.

Both parties recognise that there will be some final areas of adjustment to be concluded and that national discussions will continue on resourcing options for short elements of workload‎, not currently included in deployment duty sets. In addition discussions will continue on the outstanding issues surrounding the allocation of PFW, Amazon collections.

Against that backdrop we are committed to ensuring that mutual interest pragmatic agreements will be encouraged and supported. Whilst the objective will be for these solutions to be developed at pace it is agreed that default arrangements will be applied to enable the room for positive negotiation.

Any issues which could place the agreed deployment date at risk must be referred to the National officers at the earliest possible time to ensure these are addressed.
