Need advice.

I have a query and don't know if anyone on here will be able to help me. Me and my partner are both part timers 24hrs covering the days off for 3 rounds so we were working 3 days then after Christmas they changed it so that we did alternate weeks of 3 days while the other did 4 days still 24hrs split which suited us fine as one of us would be in early to throw up the frame, now they have changed it again so that we both have to do 4 days and both come in at 8.30 and basically coming into a empty frame with boxes of mail piled up waiting to be thrown in while everyone else is bagging up around us or leaving the office. We have complained on numerous occasions and it will get sorted for a day then revert back to the piles of s**t when we get in. As we are the only ones this is happening to in our office we feel really demoralised and victimised and in a way bullied as we're now getting stick for not putting the next days d2d in for the full timers as we've gone over, would we have a leg to stand on if we took this to the union?

Yes if its meant to be thrown in before you arrive.

Also if throwing in D2Ds for the next day is part of the duty and you cannot complete the whole duty within your hours then you need to follow the "overrunning delivery" procedure.

I hope they gave you 30 days notice of change of shift times.

If your walk isn't thrown off and you can't complete then cut off and you'll soon be switched back, if you complete they will leave it as it is.
