Where an individual’s rest day coincides with a Bank Holiday they will have the option of being credited with a day in lieu equivalent to the hours they would normally work on that day or alternatively they can claim BH excess equivalent to the hours they would normally work on that day

Yes its true. My rep has just phoned me saying that an email to him and other reps in our area has confirmed they have to pay us if we ask to be paid for a bank hol instead of a extra days hol , so long as our day off falls on the bank holiday. Brilliant!!!!!!!!

all fully agreed by royal mail but they don't know how to pay it or something because its extra but at normal rate. We've been told it make take a week to sort this out but those who wanted to be paid for the bank holly instead of a day extra leave, shall be paid with no further questions asked .
