Re: Agency Staffs
Because they don't have to pay for their holidays and sick leave. And they can get rid of them whenever they want.

They also don't have to pay uniform and they can be intimidated more than RM staff.

Yes but more often than not they missort and get things wrong therefore regular staff have to correct it double and triple handling.

Management don't seem too bothered about missorts.Billy Ray wrote:Yes but more often than not they missort and get things wrong therefore regular staff have to correct it double and triple handling.
All they are interested in is the volumes of work being processed, not particularly bothered about quality of service.
That's how it appears to me anyway.

Shift managers like to compete with one another.blue1873 wrote:Me too Cyclopz, have been telling Managers? in my MC that

They can boast to the centre manager about how their shift beat another shift in terms of volumes of mail moved.
Quality of service never seems to come into it.
I don't know too much about deliveries but in mail centres I think management would like all agency staff processing mail with a small skeleton crew of
full time postmen to keep an eye on them.
I think this is the preferred business model amongst management in mail centres.
If the work gets quiet four hours into the shift they can simply sign the agency off four hours early, no need to pay them for the whole day.
And then it's an extra bonus for the management for cost saving.
