Hi Guys ,

I know there rae problems getting transferred at the moment.

I am due to move to a new area in the next few weeks , does anybody know the procedure and what the chances are of getting a permanent transfer or at least cover at a local office until a transfer comes through.

You need to find out what RM offices are in the area that you are moving to such as DO and mail centres and get your union rep to contact his counterpart in the area if there are any vacancies in the area that you are moving to. To supplement this you will need to put in an official transfer request with your manager.

Go to the office which u would like to transfer to, speak to dom and ask if looking for staff, then if
Not just broaden ur horizons and try all local offices, but speak to dom, I
Got mine by speaking to dom, didn't speak to union rep and my transfer was complete and I'm full time

Bear in mind some offices that have had p&l won't take you if you can't drive or done the change over

How can I have left it late when I only looked at the house last week and until I looked at the house I couldn't be sure I would be moving to the area maisymoo ???
