DOM Refusing Resign

Had ongoing problem with dom about resign since we had changes 2 years ago.He basically put who he thought would work well together as partners he has changed a few people around but it does seem to be working,the only thing is he made me a floater(not through my own choice) i have had a couple of partners and i have no problem with them but i have asked for resign as apparentley we should of had one but he keeps saying no as he does not have time and it is working fine at the moment. i am more senior to many guys he has put on own walks and i have asked to go on one of these he says i am too good at floating and wont change anything, rep did ask him but he even backed down as dom said it is suitability surely seniority should come into this as i am fed up with floating and also changing when guys work day off. can i go over reps head as he appears to have given up and should i be in front of less senior ft than me?

DOM cannot refuse a resign if the circumstances within the unit warrant it and a " major change" to duties has taken place in one third of the total duties by content and/or attendance times which would have a significant impact on the business. If you are positive that this is the case then you need to make this known to your union rep for him/her to request a resign.

The repick is pretty much nothing to do with the Dom, it's mostly down to the rep to sort and deal with.

If it's anything like our office then there is little to no money in the budget for training.

The old chestnut "operational needs" pretty much covers anything they want to throw at you.

The rep might want it, but its his job to ensure the disagreement is logged, if its not then simoly go above his head to area rep and so on till the disagreement is lodged

i asked dom again today for resign all he says is there is no need but i explained to him that i do not want to keep floating as it is unfair i believe he is now discriminating against me for being flexible where as others are not can i lodge a disagreement and bring in unfairness as i believe he is treating me diffirentley we had a meeting about fairness so surely this is being unfair because it happened again today i get in and regular who is less senior to me!! is working day off and i am told to change i had argument with dom and phg got rep involved but i still had to change because this guy has not been trained on this walk. my job with rm seems to be getting a lot worse whilst others never seem to have any hassle my rep is not that good should i take this further or am i over reacting?
