voluntary redundancy

I would like to know how your length of service is worked out. I got permenant contract in Aug 1997 and am leaving by redundancy at end of April 2014 the company are saying I have 15 years service WHY

Any breaks in service, unpaid special leave, unpaid sickness, sabbaticals.

Mine was reduced by a month that i worked in hand, all my strike action is on my record and i did at least 8 months as a temp until someone stole , got sacked and i took over their job on permanant contract.
Ask for a sheet with all your absences on , you usually get them at stage hearings. Don't let them rip you off.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??
