Deliveries suspended to 80 residents in Dorchester?

Just saw an article about this on the local news. Deliveries are not being made to the individual properties on a park estate. The residents mail is handed over banded up to a residents committee member and is then taken into a community center where everyone needs to turn up to pick it up. They did not look happy! The reason is apparently RM staff have been threatened by a resident.

Anyone know any more about this? It looked like a respectable well-to-do park of retired people.

Residents on a housing estate in Dorset have been forced to deliver their own mail following a dispute between Royal Mail and a resident.

Deliveries have been suspended to 80 homes in Oaklands Park at Crossways near Dorchester.

A temporary sorting office has been set up with residents organising their own deliveries.

Royal Mail has defended its actions saying a postman was subjected to threatening behaviour by a resident. The individual has denied the claims.
