I am bit concerned at all the spin you and Mr Leighton are using about these strikes especially saying postman earn £440 pound a week which you know or should know this is untrue as the majority of postman/woman earn £323 per week, also listening to a radio interview by your self you talked about the meetings at the TUC office over the weekend and on Monday as if you were present at them which you were not, you also stated or tried to make out that your in our pension scheme again your not. Any chance of elaborating on what you actually do know.
PS without any spin
Chris
Many thanks for the note.....iam afraid i cant agree with any of the points you make.
1. The average gross pay of our people is £440 per week (CWU is well aware of this )
2. I didnt say i was at the meetings at the weekend......i did say i have been at many of the
meetings over a 7 month period.
3. All of my pension is in the Royal Mail pension scheme.
Hope that clears up the facts for you.
All the best

As I thought not a complete straight answer and a bit more spin,
1. Your quote is an average of £440 maybe right across all royal mail employees (London) but not the actual walking postman across the country who get £323 per week, I ask you to check that because that is fact.
2. I personally heard your interview as many others did and yes you did state that you were at meetings at the TUC over the weekend when you were not and that’s a fact.
3 Your pension is not in our pension scheme as you seem to be making out, it is in a different scheme from ours that is fact.
Hope this will help clear a few things up
Regards
Chris
