In an attempt to find a resolution we s tarted to widen the debate
and bring some other is sues onto the table eg pens ions and MTS F
Are they really that deluded that they thought adding more contentious points would bring a resolution to the talks.

A few questions for RM's Board & Senior Management 1 Is this Year 7 Microsoft Powerpoint or did some "bright spark " get one of those " Powerpoint for Cretins " type books ? 2 Could you please cut this Tony , Adam etc nonsense out ? , that "informality "and "we are all in this together " nonsense , them and us works both ways contrary to all the usual right wing vitriol on HYS sections in online newspapers .
RM talk of the CWU living in the past but this American oversimplification went out years ago , too many PR people assuming we've all got a mental age of 9-11. We had Management's right to manage with the RMT as the big idea was to knock the stuffing out of people and soften them up for privatization. It's obvious at best RM want a sweetheart union or most probably a glorified staff association to do sick pay insurance etc . "Tony" please change that broken record you've been playing since 2003 and try and grow up and stop sulking because you didn't get your own way due to IA , you sound like the Headmaster ticking off the naughty CWU but sound like a petulant child yourself..RM have gone back to Plan A , play the Victorian Millowner ( The CWU are supposed to be living in the past)and bully the CWU into a strike.Their arrogance is their Achilles Heel, overgrown boardroom bullies the lot of them !
PS WHAT'S all this "breakout " nonsense ? have the RM Board been on too many daft "training" courses ?

This is it ! ,it's all the 80's , it is crap; all that false informality . RM sounded if they'd been watching too many films with all that talk of The Matrix in those leaked battle plans on The Guardian Front Page in 2003 . A mate of mine from the TUC rang me after seeing that and said that company you work for is rotten to the core , he uses :lfo infamous letters in lecturing , as in how not to do it . Royal Fail are not even clever or subtle about what they do and that's down to that :lfo idiot. As for that game it's bricks as in thick as a brick . However simple things amuse simple minds !

F******g Amazing!!!
`Our Peple` B******s!!! No mention that their decision to take a payment holiday for years was the major cause of the pensions deficiet!. `Flexible working`read -`stick a broom up your arse`get rid of overtime. And under `operations `how can they say night duties will continued to be `Taken out under business as usual`, their talking about peoples jobs for Chrissake! And what is meant by `Need to be creative`about Summer Staffing levels ??? What does the bit about `Stage 3`s` mean? `How to` packs?? What`s that then, How to F**k over `our People`and make this mess work `cos we haven`t a clue?
Read the lines -and between them- If they do implement this then we are ALL f****d. This would only be the begining of the end! :mad :mad :pray

In all of the people they say supports them there is 1 group who they dont mention who hold a major hand in supporting us "YOUR POLITICAL REPRESENTITIVES" get up of your AR*SES and GET THEM INVOLVED.

We all do enough for them come election time so lets look for some payback and get their faces and voices in the local and National papers supporting US.

We have been pro-active in doing this in Lisburn and our local MP and MLAs have attended our picket line and offered support.

Our Local MLA even worked under Leighton in the past (not at Royal Mail) and offered a few nuggets of wisdom.

They have offered to table questions at the Regional Assembly, get MPs to bring it up in the Commons and lobby support at Westminster.

So when a small office of 100 people can get this Crossparty support think what we can do nationwide, or should our Union Leaders not be doing this?

I cant believe what i am reading flexible working = no overtime no more door to door payments. We could be looking at losing £60 odd a week.
I must admit my support was beginning to wane a little but like a lot of others in my office we didn't know anything of these plans, printing the document off as i type i am sure this will make a few sit up and take notice :lfo :cfo

this should be given to every member of the union without delay. if ( and big if ) :lfo and :cfo wrote this then they have whats coming to them. this isnt about royal mail anymore, this is about you and me doing doing more work for no pay. i dont mind the covering of duties, been doing that for years. i aint going monthly paid, i aint doing another bit of a duty with no pay, i aint changing my f**king hours to suit my manager, i aint gona take someone elses job just so royal rail can kick 40,000 posties on there ear, i want my pension sorted out, i want a decent days pay for a decent days work, i want a royal mail that we all proud off. IS THAT TO MUCH TO ASK FOR ???

"A Flexible, agile, business that can meet and respond to our customers' changing needs"

"Everyone is treated fairly and with respect"

Sounds lovely- but the first comment is manager speak for rip up contracts, intoduce private business, get a casualised exploited workforce to extract more profits for the new owners- oh and the public mail service can go hang. It's all business, business, business.

The nicey nicey talk Allan and Dave and me all that crap is just cotton wool fluff that means nothing.

They're out to smash the union. The truth is though that if it's fought all out- and it might take that- postal workers can dfinitly win. A few all out days and the businesses will be losing billions. And Brown wants an election! It can be won but it will take a lot of determination and may be quite a few days lost pay but if it's stuck out everyone 'll be better off in the long run. Well except Adam, Allan and chums. It's not just about postal workers it's about stengthening all unions.
