Working whilst on annual leave

If the latter I would say that's fine

Cant see the problem if people want to work whilst on hols. In this job sometimes earning a bit extra is needed.
After all if you DONT want to work while on hols they dont make you do they?

The problem is we have a national agreement that says you can't do it. Either we have national agreements or we don't.
If we want to play fast and loose with the ones we don't like, then nobody should complain when the managers ignore the ones they don't like.
It's all or nothing and not a pick and mix.

They still only pick the bits that suit them and after most people seemed to vote for the "no strike" agreement is there such thing as a national agreement any more ?????

So if you are offered VR does your DOM make up the amount locally or is a part of MTSF - a national agreement?
Does the punishment for wilful delay vary from area to area or is it part of the conduct code - a national agreement?
Is your holiday entitlement decided locally? Can purchase of annual leave be decided locally?

The basis for all local agreements are the national agreements and no local agreement can be opposed to those national agreements.
Ignore them at your peril.
