It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

PRDC walked and major failure on network!!
Hi i just got home from my PRDC run oh what a fun night 
I got there at 21:55 parked up and as i did so was informed that all RM staff were on a walk out
Within 10minutes the whole yard was chaos wagons everywhere not able to unload 1st class yorks as all the bays were full. I went in asked whats was going on and one guy i know and very militant CWU member told me basicly 3 guys had been suspended without pay for refusing to touch work brough in for sorting from NDO 
and that the whole lot decided to walk 
and then he went home.
This left the whole DC crossdocking operation in tatters work/wagons building up and only managers and 25-30 agency to sort it
By the time i left (with 24 yorks on a double decker) Drivers had left either with very little or empty as the work was down the other end of the building. It was that bad that CPC (postal control) had to issue a 30min blanket hold code for all departing vehicles so some work would move in the network.
So loads of failures tonight Good on you boys

East London was all out except four offices as far as I could tell (E4, E11, E17 and E18). E11 weren't given any info and I heard the E4 rep walked out alone/was suspended.
For us, the decision to leave was only taken today, after being thrown about and rejected yesterday, as work arrived from over the ELMC picket line after we cleared our office backlog yesterday.
7/31 walked and I was in trouble (with talk of suspension) after getting people together to inform them of the situation. I planned to let them know the situation and their Union's standing and everyone was to decide for themselves but our DOM was round there kicking up a fuss as I wasn't an official rep.
We were out fairly quickly and there were some shocks at some people who stayed behind who didn't want to walk on unofficial action.
I'm sure if the unofficial action is a good idea but what else do you do once tainted work is sitting on your frame?
There's a mass meeting everyone can attend at 6:30am tomorrow at E16 (near the centre but away from the cameras (I quote)).
I'm feeling a little queasy at the prospect of my job hanging in the balance.
