I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No need to reply, this sums it up
Yes! What a brilliant idea! Why not open up the market so that other companies can compete to deliver your mail? Except for one small problem. It has already happened. And do you know what? No other company is willing to set up an end-to-end delivery service, because it costs too much. And then they have to charge their "customers" more, and then their "customers" find the rates they were getting aren't so good any more and it works out just as economical to pay Royal Mail to deal with their mail. What a joke- if any of you people think that the collapse of Royal Mail and the sacking of 130,000 + workers is going somehow improve your postal service then there really is no hope for anybody. Alternatively, let's employ loads of non-english speaking staff to do the job. Oh but wait, what happens when you employ them (as seen in the Dispatches programme)? Quality of service becomes 0% All the letters either go in the wrong letterbox, into a bin or else into the pocket of a nearby African gang to pilfer the credit cards.
Meanwhilst, keep slagging of your hard-working postman who tries his best to make sure all your badly addressed letters and parcels get to the right address, wether it is cancer-inducing hot weather, torrential rain, or freezing snow. All for 190 quid a week (that's what I get paid). Some of the people commenting on here don't deserve a postal service.
