Re: Work to rule
I've often wondered why this "doing the job properly" option isn't taken up more often [not by individuals but en masse]. No legitimate bollockings, no loss of pay but, by god, it would cause serious havoc. What could management say? "Please stop doing it properly"? Yes, I know there's a few who wouldn't adhere to it but the excessive docket would eventually kill them off!

It can be done :)tasam wrote:Everyone knows that the system doesn't work, djangopurple wrote:Thanks great help. Does seem like we all know the system isn't working but breaking our backs to cover it up. Just gonna do my job as asked.
It takes a brave individual to decide to do the job how they're told to do it (especially when you know it can't be done)
Good luck

The duties are designed for you to do your job properly.deristrong wrote:I've often wondered why this "doing the job properly" option isn't taken up more often it would cause serious havoc. What could management say? "Please stop doing it properly"?
So why aren't the duties working?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Work to rule
All these runners coming in early etc
On Wednesday we had poll tax and were shafted and I booked 2 hours O/T for going over ,doing my job properly
The runners came in early and had no meal relief(that's 1 hour in total) and done an extra half round for 3 hours docket
Wheres the logic in that??
extra half round for 1 hours extra pay more than me plus they came in early unpaid and no break
Who's the mug

I work with one who boasts he hasn't claimed overtime in 4 years!!! He says he gets 'special treatment' from the manager, personally I think he needs special treatment!
He is horrible to work with and the cab stinks of Red Bull!
If you do a job too well, you’ll get stuck with it.
