Any more for any more.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Unfortunately we've had our revision , basically, we retained all our walks because when SDD was first introduced
we went from 57 walks to 38. Our start time however, went from 06.00am to 06.30am. Our old union rep saw
things more from a management point of view, we now have a new rep who sees things a hell of a lot
differently. Is he militant ? ............ Is the Pope a gerry ?

The 5% Cut Vote!

Post by mdtomuk »

My office in the BH area had its 5% of office cuts Union Vote today. Actually it's over 7% of cuts - But the rounds were already too long anyway, all the people who worked on the Major Change doings have now either moved on, left, or brcome Managers (hmm?). The vote, oh yes - It was close but thank heavens it was just carried - "Those in favour of rejecting the 5/7% cuts = 40. Those for having even longer walks and 5/7% cuts = . . . . . . . . . . . 0 ! Yep, ZERO< ZILCH<NUFFINK<SOD ALL! :dance

My interim succesor/predesscor (i threw my toys out of the pram for a while) as local rep let 2 rounds be taken out last summer as part of the effecincy scheme.Hoever rather than replot the walks we lose 3 people day from IPS to prep the deliveries and then the delivery staff just take the bit they do. New DOM in place now who has had the sense to realise we need to fully absorb the 2 walks and at the same time try and balance the walks due to a perception of differences in size.

Full scale PREP TESTING OF everone/every round in office underway to indentify any deliveries that do not have enough prep time. Then we move onto walk replotting and a few other issues that need looking at such as ensuring all oversized pkts and pcls are delivered on saturdays rather than rolled over to monday destroying the chance of the monday man who is the floater to get job and finish.

A lot of infighting, too many people scrutinize others to see if they are getting a better deal and if they perceive that is the case then all hell breaks loose.

Currently have a one size fits all policy on pereparation time for deliveries, which isnt working hence the prep testing

Senior manger trying to get more hours for office

about 2000 new house curently being built, savings budget cuts in my office? no chance with 2000 houses going up

best get to work now in on my day off for a spot of overtime today. Overspent on my hols last week!

Hi Postman, this morning i received an envelope from CWU with little vote yes stickers,( I get all union mail sent to me because we have no rep) anyway as i walked around the office sticking them on people, I would say the majority told me where i could stick them. This really does p**s me off, they were saying things like (i cant afford to strike) who can ?. I replied to them that if they do not support this ballot with a yes they can kiss goodbye to their " cushy little numbers. B******S.

Ive said to peole in my office if you not willing to vote yes then you might as well get down on the floor right now and roll over and say yes Allan yes Adam.

I think RM are hoping that as their plans affect different offices in different ways some worse than others that might be enough for the CWU to ,lose the vote. However given what happened 4 years ago i think we will get a yes vote.

THE UNION REP AT MY OFFICE (ME) STOPPED THIS AS SOON AS AND GAVE A NICE LETTER TO DOM AND ASKED HIM TO FOLLOW THE I.R FRAMEWORK OR THE OFFICE WILL BE BALLOTING. SOON STOPPED.
FOR THOSE WHO HAVE POSTIES SAYING WE CANT AFFORD TO STRIKE TELL THE C...Z TO START LOOKING FOR ANOTHRER JOB BEACAUSE IF THEY DONT VOTE YES AND WE LOSE THE BALLOT. R/M WILL GET RID OF US WITHIN THE NEXT THREE YEARS.
