So what about when your over your contracted hours and then bullied into doing lappsing as your other work Colleagues come in early and don't take breaks? And your revision was planned around these people? In my division under the so called knew way of working they have stopped these people from doing just that this week, and they are now all over their time were before they could lapse.

And how exactly have they stopped these people?

Management told them to start on time and take their breaks I foresee it not lasting to long.

Nothing personal but I am a little tired of reading this nonsense.
If your model week is 60 000 items/day and on a given day you have 30 000 items in the office what difference is starting on time, taking your break and using your trolley going to make?
Your indoor workload (and probably your outdoor) will be severely reduced and there will be opportunities for lapsing.

I would very much doubt the model traffic any day will be 50% out. Rm tell us themselves that a 10% drop in mail equates to approx 8% indoor work and only 2% outdoor. Therefore doing the job properly with only a 2% drop in outdoor volumes would or could possibly give you no chance of taking any extra outdoors.

I exaggerated the drop simply to make the point that "doing the job properly" means an end to lapsing is a fanciful notion.
As for the 50% drop - in an area that has used a high model week to maintain a high percentage of full-time positions, that has then seen the arrival of TNT posties on their streets, it isn't so far fetched.
And in your own example of a 10% drop in mail, what happens to the 8% drop in indoor work?
