What is the official amount of time a postie must be given whilst being taught a new round?

1. Town

2. Rural
If you do a job too well, you’ll get stuck with it.

There is no official position, It's usually down to local agreement but it's very unusual to get any training at all on a town route, especially with park&loop.
Rurals are different, In my office it's usually 2-3 days.

Always been thrown in at the deep end being a spare....never got any training whatsoever....even in box counter...just picked it up as I went along....and if I got stuck(which was often)..I would ask for help.

we get 1 day town 2 days rural.
i,m on a rural had 2 days training the 5 weeks later actually got to do the round :nana

If I know what the duty is the day before, I like to have a "walk" around the duty on google maps.

I learnt all the walks in my old office by doing docket but the job was easy in those days :Very Happy would not want to do that now with the size of the walks :sad: plus im a lot older :whistle
