So I am 2 and a half months into a 12 month temporary part time contract and out of the blue I have received a new contract. Having gone through the 14 pages trying to spot the difference, the only thing I found is that the new one says Long term instead of Fixed term and doesn't have an expiry date on it. So is this the same as a permanent contract ?

My last one ran out 31st Dec and was renewed for grand total of 4 weeks (ended 27th Jan).

I had the same.

Not a word from the managers, and I simply assumed the 2nd contract was purely an admin error or they had changed something in the small print. It took me 2 read throughs before I realised what the new contract was.
