DOM asked me why can't you come in and kill off letters I put a phone number in front of the DOM and said "Ring Doctor Kundee and ask him" DOM shut up then.

I know of one person who had a six week sick-note from gp whilst recovering from broken leg.
This person went to DOM and said that they didn't feel comfortable sitting at home whilst they could hobble around depot doing deads etc.
DOM was understandably happy with this option and allowed the individual to be depot based doing predominately sedentary tasks.
This worked fine for all of 2 days when one of the 'junior managers' actually had the cheek to say that 'if he could hobble around the depot, then he could hobble around on delivery'.
6 week sick-note on DOMs desk as fast as it could be 'hobbled' across the office.

Said junior manager is still inflicting this style of management whenever they can.

This happened to someone in our office recently. He did something to his leg, was signed off for around 6 weeks but still came in to do light duties even though he didn't have to and his contract wasn't renewed after working for RM for a year.
