Interesting article here

Small businesses who are losing due to the IA.... some highlights:

The average parcel costs £2 to send first class using Royal Mail, while a courier service starts at £6.

"Using a courier is more costly and more hassle," said Mrs Creasey. "They don't know the area intimately and won't leave the parcel without a signature.

"Postal workers often know the neighbours and will leave it with them.

"The courier depot is often miles away if the customer has to collect their parcel and using a courier means more administration for us.

"I think Royal Mail do a better job than couriers," she said. "I just wish they could resolve the problem - there has to be a middle ground.

"We need it resolved as soon as possible for the good of so many businesses."

I do feel for these guys. They are loyal customers, shafted by L&C. However a certain Mr.Buckland in the article can shove it. Anyone know this guy and is he an ersehole in real life?
Glasgow driver.

His PO is probably for the chop anyway, he will want our support then, but with comments like that I doubt he will get it.

The workers want to stick to the old ways of doing it but they will destroy Royal Mail in the process

Gary Buckland, Post Office worker
