NI Contributions
Hi all new to this forum, just signed on with Angard but only had one shift in a week, what happens with national insurance contributions if you are only working a few hours, it is not as though you can keep signing on and off JSA every week. Thanks

If you do not earn over the NI threshold(s) for a week you will not have any contributions for that week. At the moment you are probably better off still signing on to get NI contributions.

You can still sign on if you work fewer than 16 hours a week it's Jobs Seekers Allowance not unemployemnt benefit, you may get £0 JSA some weeks but the claim is left open
