Payroll Help

Hey guy's i was working as a Christmas casual up until the 29th November when i was sent home due to illnesss, i was given a message by a fellow co-worker that our floor manager had instructed him to tell me that if i didn't turn up on the Saturday to not bother coming back as they have a "Waiting list" this then led to me being dismissed due to being too ill to return on the Saturday morning at 6am, Today i should have received my "Week in hand" Due to us getting paid a week in arrears yet nothing turned up, i'm still listed on the employee sign in sheet at the temp depot i was working at also, i phoned the number enclosed within the payslip and was basically told "Your a casual we can't help you phone this number" which then took me to the Christmas helpline, this then turned out to be a automated line with pre-recorded messages and no one to speak to, after the recording ended regardless of what ever option you selected the phone would just die.

So, since i'm unable to speak to anyone and payroll just won't help i figured i'd ask here for some suggestions on what to do next, I was employed directly via RM and not angard to save a little bit of time (hopefully)

If you worked on the 29th November I think you should have received the pay on the 8th December. Have you checked to see if you were paid then and simply did not received your payslip?

RM usually put a telephone number on their payslips for queries - I would persevere with that number.

Ring the 0845 600 1785 number on the payslip. You need to select option 6 'anything else' when you get the choices, if you select option 1 for pay it just waffles on then eventually cuts you off. I got through on this number yesterday using option 6 regarding a pay query.

If you worked on the 29th November I think you should have received the pay on the 8th December. Have you checked to see if you were paid then and simply did not received your payslip?

Thanks for the reply Verging, The last payment date showing on online banking was the 6th for the hours i put in the week before i believe it totalled 9 hours or something and equated too £59.95 this was the last week i worked prior to being sent home, which is why i believe my "week in hand" is still outstanding, I also originally phoned the numbers on the pay slip and as soon as i stated my payroll number the gent asked me "Are you a casual we can't deal with you here phone the christmas help line"

I'll give them a ring again however and see how far i can get on round 2

If the payment of the 6th matches what you worked for the week which included the 29th it is correct as that week should be paid on the 6th not the 13th.

Hi guys, does anyone know what day the cut off is each week? is saturday included?

Depends on who you work for.

Angard work from Saturday to Friday but their cut-off is 10pm on the Friday. Hence, If you work beyond 10pm on Friday that shift will not meet the cut-off for pay for the week and will be included the following week.

I believe Royal Mail work Monday to Sunday. Not sure if they have a cut off time on the Sunday.

I need to log into a certain website to view my pay slips and shift details to know exactly how angard is paying me and the number of hours recorded for me because the money angard paid me recently doesn't match what It is supposed to be. I was required to put in my company secure pin before I register. Please does anyone know it? I will rely appreciate some help, thanks.

I'd phone Angard 1st thing Mon morning, with your details ready (NI no etc). The only password I have re the payroll website is specific to me.

Also send an email to the pay dept. at Angard stating the hours you actually did work.

Incidentally the site I log into does not give shift details, only hours worked and hourly pay rate, plus the normal payslip features, gross pay, tax and Ni deducted and net pay.

Hello all just to ask if anybody can clarify i have been transferred to angard after working as a xmas casual that contract has finished what happens regarding the week in hand i worked when i started thanks

Royal Mail should pay you all monies you earned through them including holiday pay and send you a P45 to pass to your new employer (i.e. Angard).

You then start with Angard and it is treated as a new employer. Like starting afresh with any employer.

If you worked for Royal Mail even as a casual it would be unusual to work a week in hand.
