Right lads and lasses, really think we should bombard the courier with as many viz type letters as we can, this one has got to be a piss-take that got through. (I hope).
Perhaps it can be a RMC competition, see who can get one in to the next edition !!

If that guy is for real, then all those in his office will be calling him all the names under the sun... and worse! So it's either that or it has to be a manager or a windup merchant.
Posties in our office were using choice phrases when they saw this, most of them have had 5+D2D's for the past few weeks already!

£20 is made up from the old early shift allowance of £12 and £8 for door to doors.

Re: More D2Ds anyone ???
£20? Not if you are are part time. The pro rata delivery supplement is unfair. I deliver the same amount of mail as a full timer and get a fraction of the supplement. And don't tell me it's not a D2D payment. It's a delivery supplement. We deliver the same amount of mail (or potentially more if not a driver). 7 D2D's just makes it feel even more unjust. Come on CWU, let's stop treating part timers as second class citizens, it's not even as if they can get full time jobs if they want them. Equal pay for equal work, not a difficult concept is it?

No it isn't a difficult concept and if part-timers were paid a full delivery supplement they would be on a higher hourly rate ......and that wouldn't be fair would it?Mighty Hunter wrote:£20? Not if you are are part time. Equal pay for equal work, not a difficult concept is it?
The delivery supplement is based on the hours you work because that is fair.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

But you sort and prep less - or should we get a separate supplement for doing that.Mighty Hunter wrote:£20? Not if you are are part time. The pro rata delivery supplement is unfair. No it is a manager mark my words they don't do f**k all and will delight in glee with their spare time to post nonsense and get off on it. Till the s**t hits the fan and they have to do it then they just leave all the D2D and packets and recorded letters and get the drivers to do the tracked and specials!.BingBong wrote:i just stared in amazement at the page when i read it. got to be someone having a laugh surely.

Yes it has been claimed as such on the CWU facebook page - someone on there knows the person who sent it in, and it was to see if they could get a stupid letter published - it worked apparently.BingBong wrote:i just stared in amazement at the page when i read it. got to be someone having a laugh surely.

Re: More D2Ds anyone ???
you wouldve thought they would have sussed it was a prank when the sender mentioned delivering washing machines/tumble dryers etc (white goods) instead of vans standing idle for most of the day. unless they did suss it and decided to play along, though i doubt it.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Yes it has been claimed as such on the CWU facebook page - someone on there knows the person who sent it in, and it was to see if they could get a stupid letter published - it worked apparently.BingBong wrote:i just stared in amazement at the page when i read it. got to be someone having a laugh surely.
