Night shift

Why do Angard phone me for a night shift at 2 or 3 pm on the afternoon for a 12am to 6am shift. Do they no know you need a least a days notice for a night shift and what is the pay for shifts now.

At least you got a few hours notice. We normally get called around 8pm or 9pm for a 10pm start and funnily enough Angard complain they cant get people to do the night shifts.

At least you're getting work, since xmas we have had like 3 shifts!!!

Night shift at my DC (Filton, Bristol) because I've not done 12 consecutive weeks is NMW not even a bonus for working nights, also 2/3pm is the ideal time especially if you have been on a night shift the night before. Remember you are agency not full time staff; Angard are likely to have over 100 people on the books so if you don't accept shifts it's unlikely you will be one of the first people they will ring straight away.

One other thing to watch out for is if you do a 12hr shift (like I did) make sure you see the manager or ask the person when you sign in. I did a 12hr night shift but they took the sheets upstairs. Now I'm in a dispute and waiting to get the money owed(can see this being a long wait whilst I source other avenues). This was 2 weeks ago.

I would love it if they called me at 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Recently they have been waking me up at 10am
