Crowds gathered in Cornwall to witness an unusual birthday party for the oldest Post Office in the network.
A historic mounted messenger rode into Stoke Climsland yesterday as the branch celebrated 175 years of service to the local community.
Subpostmistress Sue Watts accepted the greeting from Bude subpostmaster Luke Francis, who delivered a birthday card on horseback and wearing a vintage postman’s uniform.

It's a pigment thing.
It's common for white horses to have pale hooves but not unusual for one,two or even three of their hooves to be black.
That's the kind of thing you learn on a rural.
