Well if I may be so bold as to answer in place of dingo, who would probably take more than a 1000 words, they don't give a crap about you.Sugar wrote:What are the union and in particular Bob Gibson going to do for the offices that went through the first phase of p&l revisions who got cajoled into agreeing a 100% BSI through the claims that it would safeguard full time jobs when in fact it hasn't and why are the union/Gibson allowing it to be used on a daily basis to push staff into ever increasing workloads?

I have no chip on my shoulder and neither do I think I have attacked you personally.dingo wrote: Mother get the chip off your shoulder. London got the highest yes votes in the country.
Mother if you want a debate about London , well let's have a debate about what your branch or region is ! But saying London is the enemy is sad and a lie.
What I object to is the lie that you have achieved these deals as a result of solid trade unionism.
I object to the implied suggestion therefore that other areas didn't achieve the same results because of a lack of the same.
It is dishonest and downright insulting.
So let's debate N16:
Why is the EP so low?
What steps are being taken to improve the indoor performance?
What is the FT/PT ratio? How long is the delivery span?
What is the traffic used in the model week?
What was the average number od D2D/week over the past year?
Do you think inefficiency is something to be proud of?
If inefficiency is the only way to protect jobs in London, will you be recommending that to your members?
While it is admirable you fight for your London members, do you ever consider the cost to the CWU or the trade union movement in general?
Never let the hand you hold, hold you down.

Not entirely true as OPGs have different capabilities and motivation to achieve a high work rate.dingo wrote:Most senior managers and reps say when the work is available there is no difference in a postmens performance.
In a MC study taken over 4 days (a few yrs back I admit) with both FT and PT staff the primary cause of poor EP was lost utilisation, mainly waiting for work, the average EP whilst working was 69 with 90% of staff working between 60-80. I'm not going to start a debate over whether DO staff work faster than their MC counterparts but would be surprised if the distribution of work rates was any different, although working on individual fittings as opposed to as a group will almost certainly have a bearing.

If only the problem is that they do not care, but they are actually on the side of RM and against those that are less fortunate than them. How can we fight RM when a section of the membership deny that there are problems and the only problem there is, is of their own making or lack of understanding of the agreement?
Like dingo said, most posties perform well if the work is there... So, is the work there for some offices that are already overstaffed? But wait, he also said that we should not expect an office operating at about 50/60% to jump to 90% - am slightly confused?
Even without Revision, the natural process of overall modernisation, better automation and drive for efficiency saving, one will most offices to have move their efficiency levels in 4 years...
So what levels were they operating at pre 2010?

Sorry; the abuse you give out to Dingo is welll over the top. You can have your opinion (and that should be respected) but to flame everything he says is somewhat over the top.dvbuk55 wrote:I ask myself that same question many many times - why does he bother,...... d'you think it's like a masochistic thing?aiden01 wrote:really dingo why do you bother you just get hammered time after time by the same people.
Just my opinion.

good to see the ballot results are going to north-london.
n.1 are at 72.2 e.p, so we should know the result about september.

Re: North London Delivery revisions
So all offices up north that are waiting there last £200 for the next revision should say no agreement till BSI is based at londons BSI average of around say 78%

No because agreements are not retrospective you see, so there are winners and losers as the oracle says.

Re: North London Delivery revisions
No - because the agreement says you have to maintain your current performance, so if you are already over 78, then there is no going back.woofwoof wrote:So all offices up north that are waiting there last £200 for the next revision should say no agreement till BSI is based at londons BSI average of around say 78%
Those offices with a poor performance are going to face years of having to improve and hand in hand with that will be more job losses.
I don't think working in a poor performing office is anything to aspire to, especially with MTSF under review ......
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
