I have been a delivery postman for 35 years. Why on earth should i vote no? All i have to do is work my time,i have no problem with that,a guaranteed pay rise whilst elsewhere pay is frozen or under inflation,whats bad about that? Protections for 5 years as employees of a private company, what other union can say that? I dont know which site has more doom and gloom merchants,this forum or the man united one.

Yeah, I love this site but it tends to extremes. If it reflected reality 100%, one week everyone would be working to rule, the next walking out of their offices en masse and the next, leaving the union in one body.

But no to the pay, yes to the pension.

you will NOT get pay rise in 2yrs or 3 yrs will be renegotiated away as will protection due to unforseen circumstances
ie competition and shareholders

The pay rises are

3% for Pay Year 2013/14
3% for Pay year 2014/15 (no revisit according to the thread)
2.8% for Pay Year 2015/16

There will be another round of negotiations for the April 2016 pay rise

I always make my own mind up and if there's one thing I know it's your never in full procession of all the facts so I think it's better to go with the union .If it turns out to be wrong then so be it
