Change of contract

I had a 17.5 hrs contract on processing late shift now I got a transfer (same mail centre) on delivery for 27.5 hrs contract on 3 months temporary I just wanted to know if at the end of the 3 months I will go back to my initial contract...also why I'm still getting just the processing allowances instead of the delivery One? Thanks

It will only be a temporary transfer to delivery for 3 months due to the need to have you working 5.30 hrs a day because you'll need time to finish prep, bag up etc then go out on a 4.30 hr delivery span.
Whether your contract will revert back after 3 months depends on whether deliveries will still need you or not, to be honest they probably will if you're a good worker as in my office we always need staff!!

Your allowances stay as what they were if you were asked to transfer over, more so if late shift allowances on processing are more than deliveries. Also you'll probably still receive it for 3 years too, but only if, like I said, they asked you to transfer over and it wasn't a voluntary decision on your behalf.

The delivery one is 0500 allowance but since most duties do not start now until after 6 most people won't be paid it.

Think esso might mean the £21-odd delivery supplement versus the £8-odd processing supplement (both pro-rata) rather than shift allowances (also pro-rata)

ESA 1+2 have both gone from deliveries. limited to reserved rights in 2007 and eventually subsumed into the Delivery Supplement in 2010.
