It beggars belief that the PEC and the Executive are happy that in a democratic union, we have hundreds if not thousands of agreements taking place that enable Royal Mail to make some members work 50% more efficiently than other members.
For fck sake get a grip on this situation. We are all doing the same job and the idea of a union is that it brings equality and fairness into the workplace, as well as negotiating pay demands. Where is the fairness and equality in this Dingo?

75 BSI should be end state for ALL units and that should be nationally agreed - even the unweighted average of the London office above is 79.5 ie 4.5 points ABOVE what it should be for employees not on output related bonus.

The simple reason North London got those agreements is that the ninja bean counters behind the scenes wouldn't pay the cash for the huge number of VRs that a move towards 100 bsi would have precipitated.

Mother we have had plenty of VRs under the revisions but we still have not agreed to 100bsi.

Either you are being deliberately obtuse or you aren't following a reasoned argument.
I didn't say you didn't have any VRs, I said nobody was prepared to finance the number a move towards 100 bsi would have meant.
How many more jobs would have been lost in those revisions?
How much would it have cost?

And something else bothers me.
I presume in every office there is a range of abilities. So in an office with an EP of 80, maybe half are working at 85 and half at 75.
In an office with an EP of 65, for every worker working at 75, there is one "working" at 55.
For every one working at 80, there is one working at 50.
Now there may be good reasons why the EP in the Stoke Newington area is low, or it may be that some just can't be arsed and are quite happy for their colleagues to carry them.
So when you talk about standing up and fighting for what you believe in, does that include people being paid £12/hour to do very little?

North London were able to agree these revisions because they had an exceptionally low current performance figure, that is what you base your revision on.

Having a very poor performing office is nothing to be proud of nor is it necessarily the members fault but it does raise a couple of important questions, one about the union and one about Royal Mail management.

The question the union has to answer is why when it agreed that revisions should be based on current performance did it not ask for a cap or at least demand that offices showing up with exceptionally high current performance were investigated to make sure that this was genuine performance and not skewed data, the starting position for any revision is surely the most important and getting this right was crucial, what were the area reps playing at?, what were the divisional reps doing?, what was Bob Gibson thinking about apart from blaming the reps and members?

The question that Royal Mail has to answer is much simpler, how long is it willing to accept such poor performance from these delivery offices?
66EP would have been poor in 2010 but 4 years into an efficiency driven modernisation programme that has seen most offices elsewhere move to a relatively reasonable 80EP-90EP it's quite frankly embarrassing and I'm surprised the managers involved are still in a job.

Well I suppose it's too much to expect the likes of the full time release merchants and Bob Gibson had anything close to a conscience. I just hope its a resounding NO and these charlatans are shown up for the wide boys they are.
