I will be voting YES to a pay rise, YES to protected T & Cs untill 2019. Why would any want to vote NO?

do a month in delivery & you will see why a no vote is a must. You just have an easy life in a mail center, i dont blame you for voting yes but we are a union & if you read many posts on here about delivery you would support your fellow members problems

because I believe its a good deal like most people do which hopefully will be respected in fortcoming ballot you pay your dues and you make your choice it,s up to you how you vote.and iv,e said before I respect your view.

The only concession I would make is the 9.0% is a reasonably good pay rise over 3 years IF it isn't revisited, everything else is grist for the mill, pap for the masses and of no real consequence.

well dvb you know its a good pay deal get it voted in and after that we will deal with with whatever they can throw at us if we have to walk out we will be in no doubt.

well dvb you know its a good pay deal get it voted in and after that we will deal with with whatever they can throw at us if we have to walk out we will be in no doubt.

You think you'll be able to walk out? Look at the deal again aiden, there are a very stringent rules against you walking out and NO chance of a national ballot under this agreement without negating the protections - one of five reasons for RM to walk away.

That was before this agreement aiden I think you'll find it much more difficult under the new regime where mediation is more of an imperative. People will vote yes merely because of the %age rise and back pay a very sorry premise to balance their future I'm afraid.

and also this new agreement although it "allows" local action, puts a bit of a straight jacket on any sympathetic action if people refuse to handle "scab" mail from them. As soon as they do, and if it spreads to an MC...... whats the betting that RM will feel that they can invoke a get out clause.

Whilst there isn't a "no strike" clause in the new agreement it certainly puts a lots of barriers in the way and will make it harder to get support from the vast majority of non radical members.

With so many changes come to royal mail with WSM, and van sharing park and loop, and using PDA. I can't see how Royal Mail will change our work a lot more though as 95% is probably done. I think maybe automaticon on d2ds and timed delivery could be only new changes we will see in few years and cutting down management. If Royal Mail give us too much work and we can't complete it then eventually the companies will get heavily fined then the shareholders will demand action on workload.

Perhaps if the negotiators were part-time they might push for more of us to be made full time!!!

I'm sick of being part-time! After 4 1/2 years I'm still miles away from being full-time! All I want is a full time job!
