Jobs boost at Salford postal depot

TNT Post UK, which recently launched an end-to-end postal delivery service in Greater Manchester, is creating 12 jobs at a new postal depot in Salford.

The UK’s largest private postal operator has taken a three-year lease on the 1,921 sq ft Unit 5 at Park House Bridge Estate.

TNT had announced plans to create more than 1,000 jobs in Greater Manchester when it launched its postal delivery service in November 2013.

The letting of the industrial unit was secured by Colliers International.

Andy Backhouse, associate director, industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of the real estate advised the deal on behalf of Crescent Management Services.

He said: “TNT Post UK is a prestigious company making a major investment in Greater Manchester and Salford will benefit from being the latest addition to a network of local postal depots.”
