Exactly WHAT are the PEC doing to stop the imposition of later start times?

Why are delivery offices not on OFFICIAL strike action to impose earlier finishes on Royal Mail by striking at the end of our duties?

Have the PEC already agreed in principal to introducing later starts?

It's such a major issue for delivery members it is like being handed a loaded gun to shoot Royal Mail with.

WHY ARE THE PEC NOT CALLING US OUT??!!

Anyone on the PEC reading this?

Be very careful about anything that might lead to unoffical action, our rep says this is what royal mail wants. As they then can seize union funds. You can"t do anything about changes to start times as they do sort of run the place!!

i am officially keeping my start time, cant see how it is going to work as most days i virtually work to time so if i have to wait for the sorting to be finished i will still go out late and thus have to bring mail back. i`m not going to argue with them though, they know best.

I disagree with the 06:15 starts but unless my union tells me otherwise, I'll be starting at that time (along with everyone else in my office).

It's going to be an interesting few days................

we lodged a disagreement with our dom,
the whole office signed it.
over 200 signatures.

it didnt make a blind bit of difference,the dom is still going ahead with the new start times including the late saturdays..
the union is looking into it but im afraid these late days are probably here to stay..

East London out, got call 8am this morning. They went in at their normal times, were told they wouldn't get paid for it, and if they cut-off at their usual time would be done for "wilful delay" - so out now.

Madness to break ranks at this stage - they tried it last time in Scotland and we saw through them.

They are terrified of the rolling action and that is why they are manufacturing the aggro over start times - they want a mass unofficial walk-out with further walk-outs with the issue of scab mail. They want to break this strike by starving us back after 2/3 weeks.

Don't fall for it - register a disagreement but don't walk-out - you are doing exactly what management want you to do! The rolling strikes will have the network on its knees within a month and we only lose a day's pay each week.

Come on brothers and sisters you know it makes sense - don't allow them to determine how our strike is going to be run!
