it's a prediction based on previous experience. most members vote with their branch recommendation that is true.

Most. Branch's will recommend the deal. if it was going to be rejected then would have to be organised oppositions and lots of it.

The only agreement in the last 30 which has been rejected was the way forward and then we had 5 Divisions all opposing it and we organised an unofficial meeting of Branch's and Comms.

Look if I am right within 5% points either way then you each give a £1 the blind babies charity and if I am wrong I will give a score.

Why would the Branch not recommend a YES they have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain by toeing the HQ line. The system is becoming corrupt and there's no two ways about it. Most Branch offices are populated with MC people and have no experience of or understand delivery issues. The members in my office will vote NO regardless of the Branch recommendation.

So out of each 100,000 of possible votes 33600 will vote yes 8400 will vote no and the rest can,t be asked. Hardly a ringing endorsement compared to the vote in the consultative ballot. Could it be Dingo, that it is because this agreement falls way short of the proposals that the CWU Executive consulted us on and have subsequently taken a generation to achieve, against a backdrop of a membership chewing at the bit in the run up to Christmas to support the negotiators in achieving all the aims of the consultative ballot. We have seen only this last two weeks with the way reps are being treated that RM will not concede 1 inch as far as fairness and dignity in the delivery network is concerned, and only a national strike, much as these are generally to be discouraged, will have any impact or chance of achieving this aim, which you must know is the overarching (love this word) important principle of this agreement.

This is someone that I have never trusted. And I know I am a good judge of character...

I am not the only one that find the rantings just before the agreement baffling and seemingly out of character with the person people believed him to be.

For the record, I was always going to spoil the ballot. I have said so many times but the gloating and what seems like some level of corruption, duplicity and treachery has changed my mind.

No one asked him to come and post. He is too high profile to be posting here anyway, IMO.

Lets hear from the other more senior CWU officials and other senior reps not just one person.
