Post by tom63uk »

A friend of mind rang wages today as we heard a manager on the phone in our yard talking about payroll and he was told we will only be receiving one days pay this week.we are in the York Area

If its this week they are playing with fire as Monday and Tuesday of this week are effective in next weeks pay packet not this weeks. The rumour first started that we would get a normal wage this week and 4 days off last week, however at a Union meeting we were told this had been challenged and I myself saw a notice to managers about what the reporting schedule was for striking workers to be notified to pay, it also mentioned that 2 days would be taken off each week. I still think its a red herring as we get our D2D payments on time every week and in my office don't put them in until Saturday.

I rang wages myself today after hearing the same rumour. Was told that they had spoken to their legal team and they can legally take the 4 days pay off us this week. he said there was a chance that could happen depending on what paperwork the dum has sent off.

Personally I'd rather they took it off in one go, I'd rather just make the best of it for one week than struggle for two.
