and point 9. ''industrial engineers'' to scope if there is enough time for d2ds?? its not bloody rocket science. i had to prep 4 sets of d2ds the other week on 2 duties. on a tuesday thats FOUR columns...it took 1hr and 40 mins to prep and box in, and thats BEFORE you box ANY letters in.....it doesnt need industrial engineers/time and motion blokes or stephen hawking to know it cant be done on THEIR ridiculous timescales/efficiency agendas.

what the hell are local strikes going to do? We are a union not a local union! This is a no strike deal without a doubt! Our power as a union is to strike as one then we shut the whole operation down nationally! Local strikes are like a sneeze where as a all out national strike is like pneumonia! I urge all union members to vote against this deal as at local level we will be hung out to dry by high up union chiefs why dont have the stomach for the fight & want us to do all their dirty work! Workload issues have been horribly unsolved also. I dread this deal getting voted in i really do! I wonder how billy & dave would feel about this deal if they had to go out on a P&L duty tomorrow together???????????? Disgrace! VOTE NO.

Ours too, and then a fair number will pull out and quite rightly so, you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Lets just hope the CWU have a plan B this time and not only for the members but for themselves. If this does go for a NO it's going to be squeaky bum time for Dave and Co to explain to RM what went wrong, hope they can brass it out to them like they did to us last time.

This is almost the same now as most offices in strikes go to a stage 4 at national level. In terms of Royal Mails ability to review the legal guarantees in the event of the CWU taking strike action is far from being a no strike deal. It's as almost that you are saying the legal guarantees are so good the CWU will never sanction strike action again. However remember it is annual conference who agree a national ballot of the PEC not an agreement.

Could you explain in nice simple terms what happens if during the pay negotiations in 2 year's time Royal Mail say we are getting nothing?

Yet again i read a post from dingo that rambles on about how great this deal is. There are a few things you need to take into account before you try and hoodwink OUR members we voted on four issues 1. Privatisation. The union missed the boat 2.pay union secured an extra 0.4 hardly ground breaking 3.competitors mail.. We can do nothing about it so why let the members vote on it in the first place 4. Cooperation... We Will deal with it sometime next year after we voted and lost our right to strike. As Dave ward NOT ME said nothing is agreed till its all agreed so out of the four points we voted on the union comes back rid of three and only one improved a 0.4 pay increase hardly ground breaking there is it.
The five year legaly binding agreement we give up the right to strike national, impossible to go past stage three in the new IR frame work. Wat happens after three year wen we negotiate our new pay deal and royal mail says no ???? We carnt strike can we. Also royal mail can come out the agreement at ANYTIME with exceptional circumstances while the union is stuck no matter Wat with this agreement. the agreement states 28 times efficiency and productivity this WILL lead into individual performance checks. just because we are now a private company does not mean we bend over backwards. You also mention that there are a small percentage of members not happy in DO yet you forget 94% of members voted on problems in delivery officer So after reading your rambling also the agreement still can not see how this is ground breaking.

Chickenwittle your right the deal royal mail offered had strings but ill point out so does this in a no strike nationally to say the least. Money, money, money. Wave a few pounds in front of us and we will vote yes to anything. Xmas is here, an expensive time of year. Money is tight. RM and CWU using this to convince members to put a few quid before achievable work conditions.
Dreading a yes vote and when a day comes where as a spare there is no round for me to cover and as in the new agreement I can be made to clean managers Primark shoes and making coffees all day.

lets get it straight ... just who decides when the IR framework is exhausted ?? whilst issues are ongoing ... it is another case of the CWU shooting their own foot

You can take strike action locally ??? Never happen in smaller offices. I think some people need to look up the word UNION in the dictionary.

Yes that 9.06% pay rise must really smart. Reading the précis of one of the briefings today I am struggling to see what RM are getting out of it.
