Why s it taking so long to organise the ballot?

The reps have to be briefed.
The members have to be briefed.
Communications have to be sent out.
The agreement has to be sold.
And in the words of the great Mutton-chopped philosopher Noddy Holder.....It's christmas.

I am not advocating a Yes vote, I am just being realistic. The CWU have been led a merry dance -again - and there is really nowhere to go with a rejection of the agreement. A strike in January? RM would be laughing at us!

I am not advocating a Yes vote, I am just being realistic. The CWU have been led a merry dance -again - and there is really nowhere to go with a rejection of the agreement. A strike in January? RM would be laughing at us!

Thats may be a sensible approach, but I will be voting on the actual deal not on the possible consequences of its rejection, or acceptance. If the deal is good enough on its own for me to vote Yes to accept I will, if not I won't. In my opinion voting to accept any deal (good or bad) based on fear of its rejection is not the best reason to vote for it.
