To be honest I can't see Dingo being on here much soon as he has to sell the agreement to the 50 or so offices he has to visit.

The unfortunate thing is our Dingo was wrong about P&M,BT2010,his partner in crime on here had to call his troops out on strike cause he was also wrong about the two deals,that bloke who runs a lot on Twitter had to call his troops out as well.

f**k me how many troops had to be called out over the last year or so cause the business has once again on many occasions ignored the words of various agreements.

This one,regardless of what's in it and whether Perry Mayson helped us out will be no different.
Although it will obviously be harder to call the troops out.

As many have said we appreciate him coming on giving the gossip and the exclusives,but I'm guessing there will be more licking of wounds to come.


Another personal point,stop talking bollox about manning up,and we do this at our place and we do that,the world outside that 'yeah we've a good manager the rep's good and we all stick together' office is very much a different place to where some of you f***ing work!

Well that's your office and good luck to YOU but your situation is not the norm or the average - our office has 40% part timers who earn nothing like £25, 000 a year and would think £35, 000 was 3 years pay.

To be honest, like this agreement it will be down to the Reps to sell it, it appears from Div Rep's down/up that the TOP Table of National Officers have yet again withdrawn themselves from reality and the Members needs, it almost like the Nationals have severed the head off of the CWU.

National officers down to Div Reps doing Strand Groups, Focus Groups, setting up working parties for this and that, and we at the coal face see no change, business as usual until we have to implement the above, how Trade Unions have changed in my lifetime beggars belief

I have seen it before. The problem is that the aspirations of the CWU is merely to be sat at the table chattering, appearing to be involved, give the impression of being important, having media coverage and fool the membership into funding their lifestyle and will consequently agree to anything that doesn't jeopardise their future.................whereas our future, well that doesn't enter into the equation.

They talk the talk but we are the ones walking the walk.........and keep on walking.

Royal mail have given me a reliable pay, a reliable job. a little uncertainty, but i've dealt with worse. As long as i dont make too many mistakes... I've also dealt with worse managers. In fact, i've dealt with managers who've been taken to tribunals, for simply swearing, and telling an employee to f*** off and not let the door slam on the way out, in front of a room full of newly employed staff.
And a reality check, to the employees who've been with royal mail for decades, times are changing. And you should be greatful for what you have.
