How much do we get this year for Xmas Bonus?

Is it genuine that we get £100 for the colleague shares? the reason I ask is that it was rumored last year that we would get it but it didn't happen. Another reason is that the area manager doesn't know anything about it ( no surprise there ) and the local rep also doesn't know about it ( which is a surprise )

Yes it is confirmed and we did get it last year but in August ( or around there) not at Christmas

If the union thought that was the case surely it would have been better to take the £300 instead of the £200 now on offer

Not only do the Union think it's the case Royal Mail does as well. They have BOTH said that the extra £200 is not connected to acceptance of the deal, but is a recognition of how hard we have been working during the transformation. I guess you've not had a chance to read all the literature or even the agreement yet.

Not only do the Union think it's the case Royal Mail does as well. I have but didn't they offer £300 not to go on strike during Xmas. So as Xmas has passed surely it would have been better to bluff and get the money.
