Yes - I was expecting the usual load of bollocks from the mouthpieces once the disquiet had been sounded on here. It's a NO - I'm not buying the "don't worry every things OK" from the bloke who expounded "the deal of the century" last time. We've heard it all before and from the same people. As for the union can take an injunction - is that what it's all about now, and how much is that going to cost us - another 50p on the subs?

Dvbuk you stated you would vote no before you even saw the agreement let alone understood it. Quite frankly you enjoy life on this board as someone similar to victor meldrew where everyone else is to blame !

maybe he knew like the rest of us what a shitty deal we would get based on the recent performance of the cwu to problem solve! make fun all you want but the troops on the ground have nothing in common with the top brass in the cwu anymore! They havent got a clue what the problems are! We are paid fine! Just treated like s**t! Do something about that & come back with a post worth reading!

And what's with the incentive scheme? It's so bad we only get to know AFTER they receive a yes vote :nervous
But under this new agreement that's exactly what you can do, as an office you can walk out and wait for mediation if it can't be resolved and your terms and conditions stay protected. Basically wildcat strikes will now be dealt with in a better way. The Royal Mail just don't want a national strike.

And you are full of self importance trying to make the union sound like the saviour and all those surrounding the glitterati, apostles preaching to the unconverted.

Actually dingo I blame those whom I pay to look after my best interests and those who claim that abject failure is acceptable, that there are winners and losers, in an organisation paid to ensure equality.

I will vote NO and I will leave the union and I can assure you that I won't be the only one from my office and hopefully many more who can spot a con when it's foisted on them.

I get more stick in here then most ! Now I will be meeting about 50 offices over the next few weeks mostly delivery offices as I did getting the yes vote ! How many have you been too recently or do you get all your info from here? You see offices are different and not all suffer from the same problems the CWU as part of the review will visit 60 offices in a week joint visits from all round the uk including where there are no rep and will find out the problems and then look at resolving them.

Tell me your alternative if you want this agreement rejected ?

So we're a local union now,not a national union.
I'm fine with that, screw you lot but HQ is swallowing about £9 million in wages at national level so maybe somebody should have mentioned it earlier.

Of course dvbuk is entitled to vote and that is fairly consistent with his views all along.

This Agreement did not deal with the issues that concern him (and many others) and you expect him to vote Yes for a little bit more money and some sort of legal protection for T&C that has now put onus on local reps to resolve issues or walk out and then go to mediation and possibly end up in court - we are just too busy with trying to get mail to our customers to have time to deal with all that. That is why we have collective bargaining and a big powerful Union for all.

if the issues that concern dvbuk are already covered in a much discredited BT20120 Agreement (discredited by a large number not the people in the know like dingo and the rat pack in London and/or MC) so why should he vote Yes to another agreement that actually lauds the agreement he already voted against?

who cares about you "visiting offices"?? Stay there for a pissing month in each one & then see what you think! When you were a child & the headteacher walked in the classroom did you ever notice everyone behaved? same thing with managers when union reps come into a delivery office! Dont act stupid as you are clearly not! the problems in delivery cannot be patched up with a £200 bribe! Ill give you an alternative: read some of the grievances & b&h cases over the country & how they are dealt with & get that sorted! there's a start!

:chuckle You have to laugh when it's pointed out that "UNITY IS STRENGTH" but you need to go it alone when the s**t hits the fan. Will small offices take the gamble, will offices without representation do it, will offices with a weak rep in the managers pocket go out..........or will they suffer in silence because the union paid to protect them turns a deaf ear?

In regards to members leaving - as a branch we are now quite fully subscribed, more so recently from FTC's using the MTFS agreement,(now legally bound).

Halful - I am presuming that your lack of disagreements have mean that the employer have rolled you over,(no disrespect). They no that the "banging the desk" and the "all out" attitude ain't nearly enough. Times have changed in which ,(as reps) we have to know our stuff,MTFS, Stoke Agreement, etc.

I do not expect anyone to run an office via remote control,it just is not feasable. If you decide to vote no because you cannot represent people in your office,it is a poor reason. If you decide to vote no because the national officers have ignored delivery offices then have a look at the agreement first. Then ask the questions and attend the national briefing next week. If it's not for you,and after an educated decision ,fine.

No, under the new agreement you have to go through the IR framework whilst continuing to work, else you'll likely be suspended. The new agreement has measures to prevent wildcat action so you're not going to walk when a colleague is suspended for something you all disagree with.
