Drink driving question....

I still haven't told my DOM about this, and he hasn't approached me about it, and my case is this week, have I been incredibly stupid by not telling him? Have I left it to late now? Im just so scared of him, he's not approachable at all.

the longer you leave it the more trouble it might land you in, as ive said before, we are a proscribed occupation, the police may tell rm before it gets to court, you need to tell him straight away.

is the day it goes to court fallen on your day off?

You should have told him, what reason have you given for needing a day off, or has it fallen lucky for you. However scared you are you should tell him, if you get a ban and drive for Royal Mail, or your contract states occasional driving, or you were recruited on those terms, then you will present him with a problem.

If needs be take a friend or the rep in with you, but you should tell him before, its certainly better than after no matter how much he may off on one.

I was ok with it at first, now its doing my head in, its all I can think about, and I've suffered with depression in the past and I feel its coming back because of this.

some forces inform when charged some after conviction, as a proscribed occupation they can do either, part of the charging process they ask you your occupation etc, also when you go to court the judge will ask then as well,

You probably wont lose your job, but the longer you leave it the greater the chance, remember it is in your contract that you have to tell your dom as soon as your charged with any offence

sorry you have made your feelings know about drink driving on another thread that they should all lose their job, which is in complete contradiction to RM official policy so i think i will just ignore your comments thanks,

You might be better going sick seen as your depression in coming back, But if you dont drive for Royal Mail i cant see how it would effect on your work,
I know a few drivers who have been done for drink over the years and all royal mail did was put themon none driving duties.

as you dont drive for r.m. then it wont affect your job unless you gota drive to work. but you realy are stupid d.d.
