There are different methods being used in mail centres compared to deliveries but I assure you that bullying is rife in mail centres as well.

Feck me, deliveries voted in the worst deal of the century and apparently then MC staff voted in to close MCs - wonder how many took VR, moved to another mail centre despite having miles to go and how many went to a delivery office I bet the one bloke who did is feeling sorry for himself.

bit of a generalisation. some of the d o's I go to are red hot literally in supporting union and standing up for themselves as a office. some are totally submissive to their managers. and a lot in the mail centre believe the golden goose is going to continue to lay top terms and conditions without any fight by themselves. that's if their mail centre survives the next cull.
morning got day off before total madness starts our mc is a joke its not the men its the fools in charge but saying that the number of times we get yorks of mail for the wrong office with our office name on is increasing whos at fault? and also last weeks mail forecast in my area was massively wrong on three days i have been on collections last week and the mail in the boxs has been 400/500 % up so wheres these forecast comely from bit of subject from new deal but it shows the deal has got address a lot of of issue under manning at m/c
management look to keep cost down making mad decision which leads to h/b

when MCs go on strike RM flood the place with casuals and managers from all over< a very large percentage of the mail still gets processed. hence you come in the next day and carry on as normal when us front line postman go out nothing moves hence next day we have to deliver 2 days mail for 1 days pay.
ive worked in MC and to be honest your not "postmen/women" more like warehouse staff.
should have separate unions and T&C.

Don't really post on here but this last post has really sparked me. Biggest load of s bite ever posted on here and there is some. Would delivery staff be willing to drive 70 mile round trip to get to work? That's what some MC staff are having to do since the MC rationalisation programme. I worked for 18 years in delivery and 6 years in MCs and I can tell you the management style doesn't change!! Stop this petty in fighting, it's embarrassing.

Well why the big drive tt, why not return to delivery or why did you leave it in the first place - I'll bet it wasn't for a harder days work
I bet if RM came to this forum they must be rubbing their hands with glee, if M/C and deliveries are already blaming each other for past agreements, when it RM and the unions fault, we don't want winners and losers, we don't want local agreements, we want a deal that tackles head on the problems we encounter everyday.

I do love people that insinuate but know f all about the matter. Just to put you straight my old muck tag it had nothing to do with having a cushier number. And where did I state that I was the one doing the 70 mile round trip??
I know about 300 from Crewe that are a little pi ssed with adding an extra 2-2.5hrs a day to their working day for no extra money.

So they aren't being paid travel? Why didn't they enrol at a delivery office or did they not have the skill set to cope? And I think you say it all when you say it wasn't the cushier job that prompted you.

Deliveries have seen a marked increase in workload and resulted in bullying and harrasment tactics to get workloads delivered. All this has been driven by MANAGEMENT and management only.
In MCs we have seen 23 closed with the threat of more closures yet we don't blame delivery!
I have been out very time ( plus unofficial for a week) when called upon with my colleagues, MC staff and SPDOs based at the MC.
If the vote comes back rejected we will be out so stop the bitter infighting.We stand together!

The Mailcentre Rationalisation programme was agreed with the union.
I don't know why it gets brought up as some kind of counterbalance against bullying and harassment since the two things are in no way similar.
Nobody agreed to bullying and harassment in any function,not mailcentre staff and certainly not delivery staff.
I bet the one bloke who did is feeling sorry for himself.
