We'll find out soon enough.zx135 wrote:Imacphee1 wrote:I was told that the £200 lump sum will be paid on the 20th Dec alongside the £200 Christmas Bonus. Back dated pay at a later date. I believe the person who told me. How that fits in, with there being no ratified agreement, is another question entirely.clashcityrocker wrote:Re: How many are only bothered about the money?zx135 wrote:
where exactly did dingo state that?
could you provide a link to it please

My understanding is that the £300 is now £200 and the other £100 has gone into the pay rise so you get it week in week out year in year out.
i can pretty much guarantee that wont be what happens, they wont pay us the £200 before the members vote to accept the pay deal, thats going to take at least two weeks, a week to get ballot papers out, and week to receive replies, that takes us to December 20th as earliest possible point for agreement, which in turn means first pay after that would be friday 27th, which i dont think will be achievable, hence my guess the lump sum, if there is one, will be in january

Only money guaranteed is your weekly wage + xmas bonus paid on 20th December, anything else is pure SUPPOSITION and FICTION.

The only letter that has been sent to posties houses was the letter mentioning 300 for not striking. They haven't striked so they will expect it.

it is not the CWU's fault at all.
that's what people get for believing the Royal Mail propaganda.
in actual fact, the CWU took Royal Mail to task about this and the way Royal Mail were misleading people into believing they would get a better deal if they didn't strike.
= (without a CWU agreed settlement).
the CWU pointed out that the £300 threat was a form of victimisation
this would be equivelant of only cwu members receiving negotiated benefits such as a pay rise.
the cwu doesn't agree with such unfair treatment and the sooner non-members realise this the better.

II. The £200 lump sum is in addition to existing Christmas bonuses, will be paid before Christmas and is not dependant on the overall Agreement being endorsed.
does not state when just 'in December'
does not state when just 'in December'

I'll keep this short cos something I just typed got lost cos the post it quoted was pulled.
"£200 lump sum before Christmas. This is a separate payment, in addition to the current Christmas bonus, and is not dependant on the overall agreement being endorsed."
So I'll gladly take it, as "recognition of the contribution already made to business performance during the year."
The thing is though, it doesn't say if it's pro rata.

Re: £300 Bribe/Bonus
Typical cheapskate RM shafting the part timers as usual
It's nice that they appreciate the extra 20+ hours I've been putting in for the previous year and the 'oh we haven't got this duty covered - can you do half?' - ungrateful
. I suppose Moya will get an even bigger bonus by keeping offices under-staffed.

They take the profits, you take the blame
When they tell you there's no rise in pay
When they tell you there's no rise in pay

Re: £300 Bribe/Bonus
Another RM pay bonus where PTers lose out, they tend to do hell of a lot more than their contract hours through Xmas pressure and get nothing more than their contract hours pro rata.
How hard would it be to tally up each OPGs hours through December and give the Xmas £200 bonus in proportion to how many hours worked compared to a FT on 39 hours?
