Re: Christmas hours in your DO
overtime doesn't get mentioned in our office,we just get on with it,if we are late back, then we make the point that we were late back and attempt to claim it,and get the time you finished witnessed by a judge and jury etc etc!!! what a faf it is.am tired of asking about it some offices are getting an hour a day regardless, others working all different hours and start times, its every office for themselves!people going flat out and sorting at a mad pace, the more they do the less I want to,you will make yourself ill and no sympathy from royal mail.am far from the Grinch at xmas, but come on ,we have had some duties covered due to sickness, guys working there day off,yes we get a bit of overtime, but little or no thanks from the dom in covering the duty so the mail gets delivered, its what we do in our little unit, very efficient and give the dom very little to worry about,it runs itself no doubt like many other offices on a daily basis, yes we all have a moan, because we do care about the job we are in,and hate it being messed about with, a very happy xmas to all my fellow posties, and in the words of our last dom keep smiling at all times!!
