Re: WTF Yodel
Had a punter ask me if I delivered to an address that was covered by the farms driver. The reason? Yodel guy couldn't find his way to the enormous water pumping tower on the hill above us and dumped it on an old dear who in turn was trying to palm it off onto me.

Re: WTF Yodel
if you take it and keep it and benefit from the item, you are culpable and possibly liable for a theft charge, but if you take it, realise its not for you and hold onto it and wait for it to be collected and not benefit from the item then it would be the delivery person who is liable but thet would not have committed a crimemartin the green wrote:what would happen if you took in the misdelivered item! who is culpable?

Re: WTF Yodel
this may sound mean and not decent but i think now we shouldnt be helping our competitors. i delivered a parcel the other day and the lady asked me if i could fetch them 4 parcels from across the road which had been left on the doorstop. I think it was thursday when it was pissing it down. they were all wet and broken. i did it anyway but a part of me thinks we shouldnt give any help to them so people can realise just how bad a service they can be. Of course not all are bad. DPD for example i think are good.

Re: WTF Yodel
Why would you do this. The customer may then say you(the postie) broke them. I never help the competitors, won't even give them directions. I know I'm a grumpy cow, but get fed up with them door stepping and getting the blame. I now take photos just to cover my back. And to add insult to injury, they can't be bothered to get out off their vans to ask for directions.raikky wrote:this may sound mean and not decent but i think now we shouldnt be helping our competitors. i delivered a parcel the other day and the lady asked me if i could fetch them 4 parcels from across the road which had been left on the doorstop.
