TBH I've lost patience with it all, we get we deserve, the same faces doing the same shady practices. I'm staying in the union just to get to vote no, just as I did with BT2010, and just like that agreement this will be voted in too, then I'll pull out in the hope that thousands follow suit. The only way this union is going to change is hit them in the pocket.

If you pull out of the union you get what you deserve. The only real way to change things is get involved yourself, rather than letting others do it for you. Of course that involves some effort also. I'm not happy with how this is developing (or with what they all get paid for playing this game), but Billy and co are the people who have to represent us as they had the enthusiasm for the cause in the first place and worked their way through the union to do so, democratically.

Get involved? Get real? There's little chance of progressing through the union ranks these days. It's the same old faces doing the same old thing. You need to have inclusion on a broad spectrum to have a truly democratic union and that's something this union doesn't have. The likes of Billy and Co moved on when the union had power - now it's a power vacuum we face. As for letting them do it for me, I don't let them. I actually PAY them and quite a substantial wedge.redneck wrote:If you pull out of the union you get what you deserve. It is now 7 Decthe beautiful bd south wrote:Seems to me that the CWU wanted the extension as they would have had to call for a strike on Wednesday 27th and they see Monday as a better day to take action.
They will meet on Monday and announce intended strike action for Monday 2nd Dec.
I personally think that if it was at all possible an hours industrial action each day at the end of the individuals shift would have more impact than a day here and a day there.
The place would start of in a bit of a mess and would slowly snowball whilst they failed to reach an agreement. Plus Royal Mail wouldn't be able to flood mail centres with agency staff the day after action.
There is a forgotten, well almost a forbidden word, which means more to me than any other.
That word is ENGLAND!!!
