The man is an absolute joke! A million quid a year for sitting on his parasite arse and he tries to imply he's in the same boat as the rest of us.
The Industrial Workers of the World. The union whose members never scab!

"The working class and the employing class have nothing in common."

Apart from which it was said that Senior Managers wouldn't be affected - I would be prepared to bet an arse showing on the Town Hall steps that he has NO money in RM Pension because he knew he was on a short contract - it will be in some private scheme - like footballers. The man is an absolute charlatan.

Oh no! not that we're all in together chestnut until we have to blame someone again. The "top 200" Senior Mgrs are in a separate scheme , he "gave into " Unite as a cheap cynical publicity stunt to undermine" that 70's rabble from the CWU " & he wanted to play the millowner and keep his overseers on side .
There's plenty of this in the NHS as it's effectively split into 404 parts . It's not the RCN's fault as some papers would have believe , those debts are caused by paying off Managers who can't or don't manage , they can collect thier golden handshakes and then go to another trust until the next round of cuts . Local Councils play the same game as it's embrassing and would rather the muck stayed under the carpet . thank goodness for the likes of Private Eye exposing all this hypocrisy . Won't hold my breath with RM all you'll get is the worst of the old service & corporate cultures , though there's not many businesses that have a culture for the benefit of managers instead of actually running things or so much politics .

Yes but Senior Managers Pensions are based on 1/46th of Final Pensionable Pay per Year of Service .... not 1/60th or 1/80th
