Maybe Dingo can full us in on the £300' he said a couple of days ago that £200 of that money will be paid on the 20th with the Xmas bonus. Any news on this Dingo?

Senior management know there are problems, they know the revisions are failing and mail is going undelivered, they know the work load is un achievable, but this does not matter to them, all that matters is increased profits. Until they get hit with large fines from ofcom for failing the USO, which won't happen because it will prove the government was wrong to privatise, or something else starts hitting profits then nothing will change.

Lets dispel the myth the pay deal on offer includes back pay to April.

Now in terms of the span issue the BT 2010 agreement stated that the span would be subject to local negotiations and pay particular attention to the following

Safety and Security , delivery spec , full time jobs , optimised efficiency , delivery methods and tools including protective clothing , welfare facilities , weight and volumetric capacity , housing and density type e.g. stairs , terrain and equipment , d2d.

Each delivery route should be risk assessed.

Employees will have a range of abilities and capabilities and consideration should be given to individuals on this point in line with relevant legislation.

Delivery methods and equipment are key enablers to providing a span length which is realistic and achievable.

Now all the above is in the national agreement , plus the fact that the first and last letter should be inclusive of all related tasks such as replenish time , welfare etc.

Now if you followed the terms of the current agreement why have you got unreasonable and unachievable delivery spans ?

Perhaps the bigger question is why aren't full time release reps, and officers keeping an eye on it. A lot of these revisions have been accepted by Area Reps without consultation of the membership - at least going by reports on here they have.

Wasn't there meant to be some oversight of the local agreements.

Maybe its the way I wrote it , but yes the pay offer is backdated to April 2013.

TBT I have never known an area rep or Divisional Rep agree a revision without the endorsement of the local rep if there is one and a vote of the members.

I would never do that and know of no other area rep or would do that as well.

I believe in collective responsibility , and I am happy to take my share of the blame but it is simply not true to say that all the ills of the delivery membership is based on a few rogue area reps agreeing revisions.

So are u saying we are not getting back pay??? And what about £300 lump sum. Surely the union has secured this because we were offered this before!!

I think what he is saying is:

He has previously said the deal might include a £200 lump sum with the other £100 going in to basic pay.
But the details are sketchy.

No chance of getting it before xmas has to go to a ballot and im more interested in getting deliveries sorted rather than the backpay.Im sick to death of battling with my dom everyday 6 pcket bags today and wonders why i cant complete.

No details as to when but certainly after the PEC have ratified it and before the ballot is finished I hope.

Please no more road shows, or "no plan B" - let us judge it on its own merits.
