there is rumour in our office that 6 hour deliveries has been agreed, i can't see that being the case no delivery officer worth their salt would vote that in. And if that turns out to be remotely true then the union have well and truly shafted delivery. we should ALL strike for that

Unpaid meal reliefs won't come about because it your meal break is unpaid, your entitled by law to have it away from your work, ie leave your mail unattended - a security issue for RM. don't think they'll do that as they like to keep tabs on you.

Not really, in the BT agreement the set delivery span of 3.5 hours was dropped and an open ended delivery span was created as I recall as "an enabler" and what I took that to read was it enabled the delivery to be as long as necessary under the revision to utilise all the working hours consequently we have ended up with more and more part timers - well outside of London that is.

Not true.. Nothing to do with paid or unpaid. You are entitled .

also; you do not have to take meal relief on the premises . If someone says different , the they are talking bollocks

I hear the reduction in hourly rate after 10 hours overtime has been stopped, normal hourly rate for O/T after first 10 hours. Also back pay being payed after xmas .
Another plus, the pay rise from 2013 will start in January 2014 and then in April 2014 our money will go up again, so by April 2014 over £20 a week better off.

Obviously it will not all be jam and the I have not yet heard but I'm expecting a few

We remain focused on delivering our value drivers to achieve revenue growth, margin expansion and underlying free cash flow growth for the full year. It should be noted that the first half costs benefitted from certain one-off and other items of £45 million, which will not be repeated in the second half.

It sounds an awful lot like our back pay is now classed as profit, I maybe wrong in this but it seems a little suspicious what else could it be, could this whole thing have been just to produce a 45 million profit for the shareholders.

I guess we'll know in a few days if there is no mention of back pay in the "deal" hopefully someone will come along check the link and put my mind at ease.

That's normally how it works.
I get the whole let's paint a rosy picture bit but none of this is a gain it's just how things normally work and without prejudging an agreement we haven't seen I have to say again if the only change to overtime rates is that it no longer goes down after 10 hrs that's weak as piss.

The overtime rate will go up with the pay rise, so that's about 6% increase from April, not bad I think? If you thought we were going to get double time or time and a half you must have rocks in your head!
Do not forget the new incentive schemes?
