The method your mention is the way we have normally been doing it BUT the dom has changed everything for xmas pressure thinking his new method was more suitable and efficient, the guy hasn't a cluehewittinspain wrote:that's gotta be down to a slack DOM. Our Dom walks around the frames regularly and he will usually have one person (your partner) prepping two frames. There is never a frame left untouched especially at 08.25.When you have finished the IPS then 80% of your frame shouldve been prepped up. Think your DOM needs telling. 08.25 is a joke.knackeredjointsRUS wrote:Came off the ips today at 08.25 to find my delivery had not been looked at , let alone touched :
1. 4 boxes of mech + every single hole crammed full with letters on the ips frames
2. doubled up layers of flats & large letters on my frame and the top of my frame
3. 5 D2D's
4. the floor surrounding my frame was covered in packets
And when I complained that it was unfair other deliveries were getting thrown off and mine had not I was told my attitude was bad ??
WTF.... I don't even want to think about the next 3 weeks because our office is going to be a nightmare

That's the good bit, no junk flats for a while , plenty of cards though. After the big day the flats go through the roof but at least they post straight through, not like packets. Merry Chrimbo if we live that long

We never have a single letter in the frame when we come off IPS. The only ones that do are those that are throwing off 2 walks and working with a PTer, and those that come in early.hewittinspain wrote:that's gotta be down to a slack DOM. So yes, we cut off regularly at this time of year, at least those of us who don't come in early do.

Re: Day 1 of Xmas pressure...what a joke !
I am trying to work out how I am gonna get the time to prep up d2d's on the walk I am on this week as it has over 800 delivery points(residential)..dozens of big businesses ....and to make matters worse it has one of them rm2000 fittings with four delivery points to each slot and being new to this type of fitting today(not the walk)..I was squinting my eyes half the time trying to find room in each slot and to put the mail in the correct order(flat 806 a 806 b.806 c.806 d 806 e...etc..)....oh and compared with how the fitting was b4...this one sucks. The planners got this one wrong big time. They even left some big firms out....the postie who does the round told me last week it didn't come out the way he told the planners how he wanted it...now being spare I have to pick up the pieces...and struggle on...oh well. Soon be Christmas....
